Equipped with one handle, with which the water supply regulation of the desired temperature occurs — this type is considered reliable and convenient to operate.

Single-art mixers are also divided into two groups: ball and cartridges.

In the body of the ball mixers there is a metal ball with three holes, which is retained by a pair of rubber seals. The rod of adjustment leads it into action, while the ball changes the location, opening access for cold and hot water, which come into the mixing chamber inside the ball.

Inside the cartridge mixer installed two ceramic plates having holes. The movement of the lever leads to a change of their position and allows you to adjust the pressure and water temperature, and the smoothness of the lever movement is ensured by the presence of silicone lubrication. This mixer is not recommended to use for water pipes without additional water purification. In addition, some budget models of cartridge mixers are not well coped with the adjustment and function of retaining a comfortable water flow temperature.

Of the advantages of a single-grazing type of mixers — a long service life, design variability and ease of use. The minus, as well as with the valve mixer, is the fast wear of rubber seals.

In the manufacture of modern mixer cartridges, technologies are often used to save water during use.

A distinctive feature of this type of mixers — the ability to supply the water of a given temperature is constantly, regardless of changes in pressure and temperature parameters in the highway. The design of this mixer is simple — the temperature stability is maintained by using a special valve operating depending on the specified modes.

There are two groups of thermostatic mixers: mechanical and electromechanical. In mechanical mixers, the water temperature is maintained due to the bimetallic element, which changes its size and shape depending on temperature. In the electromechanical mixers, an electrical temperature sensor is installed, and the temperature control knob has an effect on the electric, and not on the mechanical part, after which the electrical element actuates the mechanical water supply regulator.

In addition, in many models of mixers of this type there are temperature fuses that maximize the likelihood of burning with hot water during adjustment. This model will especially be especially interested in large families with young children and people of retirement age. Also, the models of thermostatic mixers are aesthetic and possess beautiful appearance.

Of the disadvantages, the mixer is allocated only in the case of water in both pipelines. However, manufacturers have already corrected this situation — there are models with switches that allow manually open the desired stream. It is worth noting the high cost of this type of mixers.

The inclusion of the contactless mixer occurs automatically, without physical contact. There are no familiar cranes, handles and valves, instead of them for the flow and turning off the water correspond to special infrared sensors that respond to movement within a radius of several centimeters. The sensor can receive energy from both the network and the battery. For regulation of water temperature, a small screw is answered outside or under the housing.

From the obvious advantages of this type of mixers, you can immediately allocate convenience in use, safety, significant water savings.

However, there are also disadvantages — impracticality of use in some conditions, for example, if you need to fill a large container with water. Also, temperature control requires more effort than in the case of competitive types of mixers. Therefore, this option is more suitable for restaurants and cafes than for kitchen or bath in the apartment. Not a very pleasant surprise will be the price: this type of mixers is more expensive than all other types, and the price of a good option can reach 30,000 rubles.

As a rule, the main difference between kitchen faucets from those installed in the bathroom, is the length of the spout. The height of the mixer is the mixer should be selected based on the depth of the sink. If you purchase a product to the kitchen, then the optimal option will be a single-dimensional mixer with a large twist, for washbasins or shells, it is better to take a two-fledged mixer, and for the shower is a thermostat with a convenient function of regulating pressure and water temperature.
