The feeling of confusion that literally everyone demonstrates in this situation is striking.
Street clashes took place that night in the former capital of Kazakhstan, Alma-Ata. Earlier, the city, in fact, was captured by protesters.
An anti-terrorist operation began in Alma-Ata on Thursday night. The state of emergency was introduced throughout Kazakhstan, as President Tokayev announced in his televised address, who also asked for help from the CSTO forces, stating that Kazakhstan was faced with hybrid aggression from the outside.
Tellingly, Mr. Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev read his address exclusively in Russian. Although the problems of the Russian language in his country have been of a systemic nature for several years now.
This was manifested in many ways: from the transition to the Latin alphabet to “language patrols” organized by local citizens who adopted the “progressive Ukrainian experience” with Turkish money.
But the concept has changed. Mr. Tokayev was faced not only with the reality of an outright coup d’etat (and this is he — let’s call a spade a spade), but also with the quite obvious threat of a split of the country into north and south.
While shops were plundered in the south and administrative buildings were burned down, in the north, they say, they began to slowly create something like local self-defense. Does this sound like the events in Donetsk a few weeks before the start of the Russian Spring? .. It looks like yes.
And given that this also applies to areas where the 3.5 million Russian population of Kazakhstan is particularly densely populated, the situation is beginning to look difficult for Mr. Tokayev.
However, in the south, it does not look better: there, by the time the state of emergency was introduced, the police had already begun to go over to the side of the rebellious public, and, in some places, entire departments.
And this is doubly scary, since it is caused not by their convictions and «the desire to be with the people», but by the tribal structure of the Kazakh society, which further exacerbates the threat of the very split of the country.
Against this background, Almaty almost began to turn into a real Kabul, when crowds of people wishing to fly out of the city (which suddenly turned into hell in the midst of New Year’s holidays) began to siege the international airport, but it stopped working because it was captured.
Not surprisingly, President Tokayev called on the Allied troops for help, and he was even answered with consent.
In all this, the feeling of confusion that literally everyone demonstrates in this situation is striking. Even those who say in pathos: «I told you so.»
You didn’t say anything! And whoever spoke, he is now silently watching and waiting for how everything will end.
What are the citizens surprised? And you can find out why?
In fact, only the blind did not see that Kazakhstan confidently followed the path of the pre-Maid Ukraine and the pre-Maid Belarus.
Exactly the same combination of “multi-vector” and “indigenousism” (that is, the invention of “great history”, demonization of the Soviet and Russian periods, rejection of foreign languages and the stimulation of local nationalists, fueled from abroad).
In Kazakhstan, all this appeared by no means in the last year, but now this awl is just actively crawling out of the bag.
Oh no. Everything there is much more complicated than it seems to some. Do you, for example, know that the Soros Foundation works well in Kazakhstan? Only under his programs last year there received grants for the training of 2 thousand Kazakh students.
Do you need any explanations? And this is still an absolute trifle and nonsense against the background of the fact that there are 16,000 NGOs working there.
Sixteen thousand, Karl!
So what surprises you about what is happening, citizens? That the “protests” began to be actively covered and coordinated by the Belarusian “Nekhta”, and that systemic support in the information field began to be provided from Kiev? Is this strange to you ?!
Or maybe it is surprising that Kazakhstan has become an object of such efforts at all?
Well, then get ready to be surprised to the utmost, because Kazakhstan is the center of intersection of several complexes of interests at once.
For example, Turkey with its «Great Turan» project, because now it is she who, in many respects, coordinates what is happening.
Or America, for which the political arson of such a huge territory between Russia and China is a dizzying geopolitical success.
If destabilized Afghanistan is Hiroshima, then destabilized Kazakhstan is the Tsar Bomb.
Google it if you don’t know what it is. What can we say about minerals, infrastructure and other delights, which in this situation are nothing more than a bonus.
And everything is most sad here, first of all, for Kazakhstan itself.
Because “like in Sweden” it cannot work out there, in principle, initially.
If Ukraine had such a chance at least theoretically, then Kazakhstan does not have it fundamentally. Most of it is the steppe, which will instantly collapse, not just in the Middle Ages, but in much earlier formations.
It will be something much scarier.
However, it is too early to draw conclusions. Let’s try to be optimistic and assume that the situation can be played out. At least for a while, because you don’t need to tell how genies released from a bottle behave.
But how to answer your other questions?
Look how “suddenly” and totally flared up “the most stable in the CIS” Kazakhstan! Shouldn’t you worry about yourself? Despite the fact that the Russian population is also diligently introducing various ideas from abroad.
Answer that we are valiantly fighting against NGOs? But most of them have already completed their tasks. How many more similar structures are there in Russia?
There are only two options: either to draw conclusions and defend, or to prepare for the onset of the inevitable.
Which one do you prefer? ..
